Growing up, I didn’t know any artists and I rarely went to museums or galleries outside of school field trips. I had the occasional art class (and piano lesson) and enjoyed coloring and making collages, but I didn’t consider myself artistic in the least.
That changed when I found a book about Andy Warhol’s original “Factory” world. I read it cover to cover and checked out books at the library to see some of the art that was referenced. Slowly but surely, Warhol became my gateway artist and my self-guided art world education was off and running.
I love everything about design, photography, writing, and art. Occasionally I’m moved to make some art, mostly of the digital variety. If you’re interested, prints of some of my photography and art are now available for purchase on Redbubble and Fine Art America.
